The Power & Significance of the Passover Lamb.

PASSOVER - (PESACH) Unlocking the Supernatural Power of the Resurrection!

 ✝ John 1:29

"The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

Overview of Passover

Passover commemorates the Biblical story of Exodus - where God freed the Israelites from

slavery in Egypt. The celebration of Passover is outlined in the book of Exodus in the Old

Testament (Exodus 12). The Passover Feast commemorates Israel's deliverance from bondage.

On Passover, Jews also celebrate the birth of the Jewish nation after being freed by God from captivity.

On account of our re-birth and faith in Christ, God has added us to His family. Passover is one of the three annual feasts that God commanded all of Israel to celebrate.

Passover is known as the "Feast of Unleavened Bread" (Leviticus 23:6). This Passover Season, we are celebrating the power of eternal life that has been given to us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Prophetic Significance of the Passover Lamb;

As Jewish families observe the traditional Passover and retelling the story of the Exodus and first Passover; through the New Testament, we as Christian are accessing the supernatural power of spiritual redemption through Yeshua!  It was through the blood of the lamb, which the Israelites placed on the doorposts of their homes in obedience, that they were saved from the last of the ten plagues.

On that night, this remarkable salvation foreshadowed the coming sacrifice of Yeshua the Messiah, the Lamb of God, who was slain on Passover and whose innocent blood also saves us from death and destruction today.

Yeshua proclaimed this when He said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die." (John 11:25-26)

With these words, He assured us that when God judges the world, we will be saved by the blood of the Lamb if we put our faith in the Messiah and the blood of redemption; God will again "pass over" us.

"The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!" (John 1:35-36)

How Yeshua (Jesus) Fulfilled the Requirements of the Passover Lamb.
Yeshua perfectly fulfilled the promise of redemption found in the Passover Lamb. Here are a few of those ways:

1. The Passover lamb was to be chosen and set apart on the 10th day of the first month of Nissan.

Fulfillment: On the 10th day of Nissan, Yeshua rode into Jerusalem on the foal of a donkey and was hailed as the King of the Jews.

2. The lamb was to be inspected for four days until the 14th day of the month for any spot or blemish that might disqualify it as the sacrificial lamb.

Fulfillment: Yeshua openly taught in the Holy Temple and synagogues until the 14th day of the month and no fault could be found in Him.

3. At the appointed time, the Passover lambs were slain by the whole congregation of Israel. Fulfillment: Yeshua, Lamb of God, was delivered and publicly killed on a Roman execution stake as the Passover lambs were being slaughtered.

The Power of Faith in Yeshua (Jesus),
We have all been offered the free gift of being "passed over"-salvation. That gift is by faith in the shed blood of Yeshua who is our Passover Lamb. We cannot be saved by faith in our own Works or perceived goodness.

"God presented Messiah as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of His blood-to be received by faith." (Romans 3:25) Passover is an illustration of God's redemptive plan for all humanity. Just as the Israelites were bondage to slavery in Egypt, without God's intervention we are all under spiritual bondage of sin:

The LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth." (Isaiah 53:6-7)

"Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Messiah our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the Feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth." (1 Corinthians 5:7-8)

It was not simply chance or coincidence that Yeshua chose to give His life for us on the very day Passover lambs were being slaughtered. He was clearly demonstrating that He is the fulfillment of the Passover for all of eternity!

The Power & Significance of the Blood of Yeshua (Jesus) The blood of Jesus is the greatest weapon to use against the devil and his agents. No power of darkness can resist the blood, no spell and enchantment can resist the blood, no witches, wizard or black magic can resist the blood.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

1. Salvation
The blood of Jesus is the price that was paid for our salvation as Gentiles, Galatians 3:13-15. The Word of God clearly shows us that Jesus conquered principalities and powers and triumphed over them with His blood; resulting in complete victory for all who believe in salvation. Colossians 2:15.

2. Deliverance
Zechariah 9:11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy
prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
The blood of Jesus is our stronghold, by the blood of Jesus we have been delivered from all powers of darkness. Whenever the devil sends His attack against our lives, we must plead the blood of Jesus against Him.

3. Blessings
Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of
sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
The blood of Jesus speaks, and the blood speaks blessings. By the blood of Jesus, you can overrule every satanic verdict of the devil over your life in Jesus name. The blood of Jesus destroys curses, flushes out evil deposits and can deliver you from every projection and demonic plan of the enemy in your life. By the blood of Jesus, you can pour out blessings upon your life. You can release the rain of the blessings of heaven over your life and destiny. The blood is heaven's weapon of blessings.

#1) THE POWER OF PASSOVER
Scripture Reading: "On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried,
Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt. These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle." - John 12:12-18

life, the life of my family, ministry and community and I forbid them to operate.
I declare that my life is in Christ Jesus and I have been given Jesus' authority to speak against evil mountains, to cast out unclean spirits Mark 16:17, to bind and loose in Jesus name Matthew 18:18-19; and to Prophesy against death and bring life according to Ezekiel 37:1-7 in Jesus name - AMEN

#2 THE POWER OF PASSOVER
"And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? but ye have made it a den of thieves." Mark 11:15-17

• Jesus curses the fig tree - Matthew 21.18-19, Mark 11.12-14

• Jesus clears the Temple - Matthew 21.12-13, Mark 11.15-17, Luke 19.45-46

• Jesus returns to Bethany - Mark 11.19

Prophetic Significance of the blood:

• I have redemption through the blood of Jesus, and I am redeemed from the power of evil (Eph. 1:7). I rebuke all spirits of torment and fear because I have peace through the blood of Jesus (Col. 1:20).

Strategic Prayer Declarations: I apply the blood of Jesus over my dream life. Let
the blood of Jesus guide and protect me. Let every stubborn problem in my life be defeated by the blood of lamb. I command the angels of God hide me from all my adversaries. In my sleep, His precious blood will protect me and in my going out and coming, I shall be divinely protected. Every road accident or tragedy that the enemy is planning for me shall backfire.
I will not die but live to declare the works of the Lord. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for the Lord is with me, in Jesus name. - AMEN!
